Overview
Timerise keeps service providers and customers informed with a notification system that covers the full booking lifecycle.
Email notifications
Timerise integrates with Sendgrid for email delivery. Users connect their own Sendgrid accounts, and alternative email providers can be configured on request.
| Notification | Trigger |
|---|---|
| Booking confirmation | Sent immediately after a successful booking; hosts are notified if one is assigned |
| Booking reminder | Multiple reminders can be scheduled before the appointment; hosts receive matching notifications |
| Booking cancellation | Sent to customers and assigned hosts when a booking is cancelled |
| Booking reschedule | Sent to customers and hosts when an appointment is rescheduled |
SMS notifications
Timerise uses Twilio for SMS delivery. Customers create their own Twilio accounts, and alternative providers can be configured on request.
SMS supports the same notification types as email:
- Booking confirmation
- Booking reminder
- Booking cancellation
- Booking reschedule
Manual confirmation notifications
When manual confirmation workflows are enabled, additional messages are sent:
- Customer confirmation - The customer receives a message with a link to verify their reservation.
- Host confirmation - The host receives a notification to accept or reject the customer's booking.
