Overview

Group bookings allow multiple participants to book a service within the same time slot, enabling businesses to offer flexible options like workshops or tours where multiple attendees can reserve spots simultaneously.

How to allow group bookings

  1. Open the app at https://admin.timerise.io/
  2. Go to the Services section
  3. Select a Service
  4. Click on the Schedule tab
  5. Choose an Availability and click Edit
  6. Look for the Bookings per slot input
  7. Enter a number ≥ 2 to allow multiple people per time slot
  8. Click Save
  9. Go to the Display tab and check Show available bookings per slot so customers see capacity information

Known Google Calendar issues

Google Calendar tends to interpret bookings as single instances. If your group booking in Timerise has several participants booked for the same slot, Google Calendar may not recognize or correctly update multiple bookings for the same time frame.

This can cause available slots to disappear from booking pages when the service provider has connected Google Calendar.

Solution

To prevent conflicts, disable downloading availability from Google Calendar while keeping reservation synchronization enabled:

  1. Open https://admin.timerise.io/
  2. Open the profile menu and choose My account
  3. Navigate to the Connections tab
  4. Deselect "Get availability and special days from this calendar" while keeping "Synchronize bookings with this calendar" selected
