Sync Google Calendar

Connect your Google Calendar to Timerise to automatically block off busy times and prevent double bookings.

How it works

When you connect Google Calendar, Timerise checks your calendar for existing events before showing available slots. If you have a conflicting event, that slot will not be shown to customers.

New bookings made through Timerise can also be added to your Google Calendar automatically.

Connect Google Calendar

  1. Go to admin.timerise.io
  2. Select Profile from the main navigation
  3. Choose the Connections tab
  4. Click Sign in with Google
  5. Select which Google account you want to connect
  6. Grant the requested permissions

IMPORTANT: Check all the checkboxes on the permissions screen for the integration to work properly.

Configuration choices

After connecting, you have two options:

Synchronize bookings — Timerise bookings are written to your Google Calendar, so they appear alongside your other events.

Import availability — Timerise reads your Google Calendar events to determine your availability, including special days (e.g. holidays or blocked time). This prevents customers from booking slots when you are already busy.

You can enable one or both options depending on your workflow.

Multiple team members

Each team member can connect their own Google Calendar via Profile → Connections. Availability is then calculated per-member based on their individual calendar.

Disconnect Google Calendar

Go to Profile → Connections, find Google Calendar, and click Disconnect. Timerise will stop syncing, but existing bookings already added to your calendar will remain there.

Troubleshooting

Slots are incorrectly blocked — Check that the connected calendar is the correct one. All-day events in Google Calendar are treated as busy by default.

New bookings are not appearing in Google Calendar — Verify the connection is active under Profile → Connections. If the connection shows an error, disconnect and reconnect your Google account.

Integration not working after connecting — Make sure you checked all the permission checkboxes during the Google sign-in flow. Disconnect and reconnect, approving all permissions this time.
