Connect Google Calendar
Connect your Google Calendar to Timerise to automatically block busy times and prevent double bookings.
How it works
When you connect Google Calendar, Timerise checks your calendar for existing events before showing available slots. If you have a conflicting event, that slot will not be shown to customers.
New bookings made through Timerise can also be added to your Google Calendar automatically.
Connect Google Calendar
- Go to admin.timerise.io
- Open the Profile menu in the top-right corner
- Select My Account
- Go to the Connections tab
- Click Sign in with Google
- Select the Google account you want to connect
- Grant the requested permissions
Important: Check all checkboxes on the permissions screen. The integration will not work correctly if any permission is skipped.
Configuration options
After connecting, you have two options you can enable independently:
Synchronize bookings — Timerise bookings are written to your Google Calendar so they appear alongside your other events.
Import availability — Timerise reads your Google Calendar events to determine your availability, including holidays and blocked time. This prevents customers from booking slots when you are already busy.
You can enable one or both options depending on your workflow.
Multiple team members
Each team member connects their own Google Calendar via Profile menu > My Account > Connections. Availability is then calculated per member based on their individual calendar.
Disconnect
Go to Profile menu > My Account > Connections, find Google Calendar, and click Disconnect. Timerise will stop syncing immediately. Existing bookings already written to your calendar will remain there.
Troubleshooting
Slots are incorrectly blocked — Check that the connected calendar is the correct one. All-day events in Google Calendar are treated as busy by default.
New bookings are not appearing in Google Calendar — Verify the connection is active under My Account > Connections. If it shows an error, disconnect and reconnect.
Integration not working after connecting — Make sure you checked all permission checkboxes during the Google sign-in flow. Disconnect and reconnect, approving all permissions this time.
