How to add a booking manually

To add a booking manually, fill out the booking page of your service on behalf of the customer. This ensures that all involved parties will receive the proper notifications.

Steps:

  1. Open your service's booking page — Find the booking link for your service in the admin interface under Services → your service → Booking page link.

  2. Fill in the customer's details — Enter the customer's name, email, and any other required fields as if you were the customer.

  3. Select the time slot — Choose the date and time the customer wants.

  4. Complete the booking — Submit the form. The system will treat this as a standard booking and trigger all configured notifications.

This approach ensures:

  • The customer receives a booking confirmation by email or SMS (depending on your notification settings).
  • The booking appears in your admin dashboard alongside all other bookings.
  • Calendar sync (if enabled) updates automatically.
  • Any payment or deposit flow is triggered as configured.

Notification and confirmation considerations

If your service requires additional confirmation by customers (via email or SMS), contact support@timerise.io or use the in-app chat to request that automatic confirmation be enabled for your service. This switches bookings to confirmed status immediately upon submission, without requiring a customer confirmation click.

Notes

  • If you need to block time on a team member's calendar without a real customer booking, consider using the availability settings to mark that period as unavailable instead.
