A booking feature Timerise builds into custom booking systems its clients own. One fixed project price, typically $15,000 to $50,000, with this feature part of it. Last updated: 2026-10-20.

Customers book and then do not come, and your booking tool only takes payment the one way it was built to. We build payments into your booking system the way your business charges: a deposit, the full price, a card hold or nothing at all.

What goes wrong without it:
- A no-show costs you the slot and the work you could have sold. A deposit stops most of them, but only when it fits the booking: a small one for a haircut, a larger one for a party of twelve.
- Ready-made tools offer one or two payment settings, a fixed provider, and often a fee on top of the provider's. Refunds, partial payments and payouts to several people are done by hand.

How we build it, to the client's rules:
- Deposit or full payment: A fixed amount or a share of the price, per service, per day or per group size. The rest is paid at the venue or online later.
- Card hold instead of a charge: The card is held at booking and released on arrival. On a no-show the hold is captured, so free bookings stop going to waste.
- Cancellation rules: Full refund up to a deadline, part of it after, nothing on the day. Refunds go back to the card without anyone at the desk.
- Your payment provider: Stripe, a local provider or the one your bank gives you. The system has no fee of its own on top.
- Split payouts: One payment split between the venue and the stylist, trainer or partner who did the work, with a ledger that matches the bank.

Compared with a SaaS tool:
- Fees. In a SaaS tool: The platform adds its own fee or commission to every payment. In your own system: You pay only the payment provider. The system takes nothing.
- Rules. In a SaaS tool: One deposit setting for the whole account. In your own system: A different rule per service, day, group size or customer.
- Provider. In a SaaS tool: You use the provider the platform chose. In your own system: You choose the provider and keep the contract with it.

FAQ:
- Q: Which payment providers can it use?
A: The one you choose: Stripe, a local provider or the payment gateway your bank offers.
- Q: Do we store card data?
A: No. The payment provider holds the card data. Your system keeps the payment status and the amount, which keeps you out of most card security rules.
- Q: What does this feature add to the price?
A: It is part of the one fixed price for your system, and you see it in the quote before the build starts. Most projects cost $15,000 to $50,000 in total, paid once, with no subscription and no commission on bookings.
- Q: Can you add it to a system we already run?
A: Yes. We build it into a new system or into the one you already run, with its own quote. When the feature has an Agent Skill, your own developers can also build it with the skill.
- Q: Who owns the code?
A: You do. The code, the data and the documentation are handed over, and the system runs in your cloud account or on ours. Every project includes 3 years of support.
