Fresha is a full platform for salons, spas and wellness: bookings, point of sale, payments and a marketplace with millions of people looking to book. If it covers how you work, stay with it. This page is for the moment you want your own brand, data and rules.

When Fresha is the right choice. For many beauty and wellness businesses Fresha is the better choice. Stay with it when:
- New clients from the Fresha marketplace matter to your business.
- Point of sale, payments and client records in one tool are what you need.
- Its low price per team member fits your budget.
- Bookings from your own link, Instagram and Facebook cover the rest.

Signs you have outgrown Fresha:
- The new client fee adds up: Fresha charges a one-time fee on brand new clients who find you on its marketplace. Its own article puts it at 20% of the first appointment. In some countries it is currently free.
- Card details stay behind: You can export your client list to Excel or CSV, but Fresha says card details cannot be exported or transferred.
- Your raw data costs extra: Raw data for your reporting tools comes through the paid Data Connector add-on, priced per location. We found no public API for businesses.
- Your own website is an add-on: A website on your own domain comes through Fresha's paid Smart Website add-on.
- Payments run through Fresha: Fresha's partner terms say cancellation fees for Fresha bookings are collected only through Fresha's payment services.
- Your rules have no setting: Packages across services, prices by stylist and time of day, memberships with your own rules.

Fresha or a system you own:
- New clients: Fresha: A one-time fee on each new marketplace client, set by country. Your own system: No commission. Clients come through your site, Google and your own campaigns.
- Data: Fresha: Client list as Excel or CSV, without card details. Raw data through a paid connector. Your own system: Your own database and API, with every record.
- Payments: Fresha: Fresha's payment services, required for cancellation fees on Fresha bookings. Your own system: Your own Stripe or Adyen account, with your own rules.
- Brand: Fresha: A marketplace profile. Your own website is a paid add-on. Your own system: Your own site and booking flow from the first day.

Cost:
Fresha's price depends on the country. Its Polish price list shows PLN 29 a month for one person and PLN 19 per team member, plus payment fees. Its own article quotes $19.95 a month for one person and $14.95 per team member.
On top comes the new client fee where it applies. At the 20% Fresha's article names, twenty new marketplace clients a month with a $60 first visit cost $240 a month, or $2,880 a year.
A system we build costs $15,000 to $50,000, paid once. For a small salon Fresha is cheaper and will stay cheaper. Your own system pays off when fees reach thousands a year, or when you want your own brand, data and rules. You can keep the marketplace for new clients and book regulars on your own system.
After the build there is no subscription and no commission on bookings. Hosting is billed by usage, and three years of support come with the project.

Moving off Fresha. Fresha exports your client list to Excel or CSV, so your clients come with you. Card details cannot be exported, so returning clients add their card once.
1. Export: You export the client list from Fresha. We tell you exactly which fields to include.
2. Map: We match services, staff, clients and upcoming appointments to the new system.
3. Run side by side: Your new booking site goes live while Fresha still takes bookings. The marketplace can stay on while it pays.
4. Switch: You point your Instagram, Google and website links to the new site. Then you decide if Fresha stays for new clients.

FAQ:
- Q: Is Fresha a bad tool?
A: No. It is a complete, low-cost platform, and its marketplace brings real clients. We build systems for businesses that want their own brand, data and rules.
- Q: Does Fresha charge for clients who book through our own links?
A: Fresha says no. The new client fee applies to brand new clients who find you on its marketplace, not to those who come through your website, Instagram or Facebook.
- Q: Can we take our client list with us?
A: Yes. Fresha exports it to Excel or CSV and we import it. Card details cannot be exported, so clients add their card again in the new system.
- Q: Can we keep Fresha for new clients and our own system for regulars?
A: Yes. Some businesses keep the marketplace for new clients and book regulars on their own site, with no fee. At the brief we check how to keep the two calendars in step.
- Q: Do you take a share of our payments?
A: No. There is no commission on bookings. Payments go to your own Stripe or Adyen account.
